Teaching Cats to Zoom and Other Small Miracles: Why ABA Works (and Why We Laugh Along the Way)

Behavior change isn’t always glamorous
it can feel like teaching a cat to use Zoom
(spoiler: the cat just walks across the keyboard),
but in ABA, we know small steps spark big transformations.

We celebrate the child who stays seated for a puzzle piece,
the parents practicing strategies between soccer practice and burnt dinners,
and the RBTs who keep the same game fun after 37 rounds.

We sprinkle humor everywhere—
on data sheets, staff meetings, even token boards
because laughter keeps us human and learning.

Progress matters more than perfection:
a new sound, a shared glance, or a brave request
reminds us why we do this.

ABA is ultimately about hope, resilience, and believing everyone can grow
and if we can build independence, confidence, and a brighter future
while laughing along the way,
that’s our favorite kind of miracle.
